Michael W. Hester, age 62, of Michigan City, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, November 18, 2017 at Franciscan Alliance Hospice in Michigan City.  He was born in Dexter Stoddard, Co. Missouri on April 29, 1955 to the late William "Junior" and Emma Loretta (nee Mays) Hester. On October 1, 1977 Michael married the love of his life Cindy Nekvasil in Michigan City. He had a passion for electronics; he really enjoyed his beloved cellphone. He was a true "motor head "and loved working on his '99 Ford Mustang GT and '94 Chevy Corvette. He worked as a production worker and truck driver for Calumet Wilbert, Vault in Gary, IN. for over 38 yrs. He will be remembered as a loving husband, brother, uncle and friend.

He is survived by his wife of 40 wonderful years, Cindy Hester of Michigan City; brother, Bill (Shelia) Hester; two sisters, Julie (Ted) Schreiber and Patsy (John) Little; five nieces, Megan, Korrie, Aurora, Jasmine and Tara; four nephews, Daniel, Joseph, Gabriel, Damion and Bill  and many other loving family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
