Michael Anthony Jones
Age 45, passed away Sunday, January 30,2011. He was a (24 yr.) maintenance mechanic for Steel Tech in Portage, IN. Michael was born in Detroit, Michigan, July 23,1965 to Floyd and Nancy (nee Sokolowich) Jones of Lake Station. Michael enjoyed playing his drums and playing in his band Head First. He is survived by his loving family: parents, son; Travis Jones of Portage, 2 daughters; Ashley Jones of North Judson and Sarah Jones of Knox, IN. grandson; Evan Bogash of North Judson, brother; Floyd (Candace) Jones of Valparaiso and soul mate Lorel Miley of Cedar Lake, numerous nieces and nephews and other loving family members and special friends.Funeral service for Michael will be held Friday, February 4,2011at 5:30 pm at Rees Olson Chapel 5341 Central Ave. Portage, Indiana. Visitation will be Thursday February 3, 2011 from 2-8pm and Friday February 4,2011 from 2:00 until time of service at Rees Olson Chapel. Cremation will follow.
