Obituary
MICHAEL R. NIXON, age 33, of Hobart, passed away Sunday, September 2, 2012. Michael had been a lifelong Hobart resident and was a graduate of River Forest High School in 1997. He enjoyed fishing and "Gusmacker" basketball. Michael was an Ironworker employed with Ironworkers Local #395.
Michael is survived by his mother, Marla Nixon, sister, Kim (Mike) Bottomley, all of Hobart, grandfather, Kenneth E. Nixon of Portage, nephews & niece: Jared, Hailey and Randy. He was preceded in death by his father, Edward A. Nixon in 2011.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 6, 2012 at 7:00 pm at Rees Funeral Home, 600 W. Old Ridge Rd., Hobart, with Rev. Richard Brown officiating. Cremation will follow the funeral service. Visitation will be Thursday from 2-7 pm at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel, 219-942-2109 or online www.ReesFuneralHomes.com.
