Michael M. Rousselle

Age 69, of Portage passed away Wednesday, June 28,2023 at his home. He was born on November 3,1953 to the late Marcel Albert and Irene (nee Gaboriault) Rousselle in Burlington, Vermont. Michael married the love of his life Deborah Stafford on January 24, 1976, in Fairmont, West Virginia, and they spent 47 loving years together. He was a member of United Methodist Church of Portage and retired from Bethlehem Steel, where he worked as a Millwright. Michael enjoyed going out for breakfast and playing Slotomania games on the computer. On Saturday nights he spent time with his friends celebrating his remission from cancer. Most of all Michael enjoyed spending time with his family. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, brother, uncle and friend.

He is survived by his wife, Pastor Debbie Rousselle of Portage; daughter, Suzy (Jon) Gesse of Rolling Prairie, Indiana; two sisters, Marlene Rousselle of Murrysville, Pennsylvania and Joanne Rousselle LaPorte, Indiana; special friend, Mark Boothe of Chesterton and many other loving family members and friends.

A funeral service for Michael will be held Saturday, July 1, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. at United Methodist Church of Portage, 2637 McCool Rd, Portage, IN 46368, with Rev. Michael Lawson officiating. Cremation to follow. A visitation for Michael will be held from Noon until time of service also at United Methodist Church of Portage.
