Michael H. Schreiber, age 84, of Crown Point passed away Friday April 20, 2018 in the Vibra Hospital in Crown Point.  He was born April 18, 1934 in Cook, Indiana to the late Michael F. and "Helen" M. (Schumacher) Schreiber.  Michael was a retired electrician working out of IBEW Local Union # 697.

Michael is survived by his loving wife, Karen; eight children, Cheryl Stewart, Jeanette King, Michelle (Wayne) Tomlinson, Kudos (Cindy) Aikuzzura, David Schreiber, Michelle (Phil) Pardus, Daryl Schreiber and Katherine (Jacob) Forste; one sister, Mary (Bob) Bixenman; twenty-six grandchildren and five great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Patrick Schreiber; and four sisters, Alvinia Erenst, Esther Webb, Virginia Scudder and Viola Krejci.

A prayer service will be conducted for Michael at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday April 24, 2018 at Rees Funeral Home, Winfield Chapel 10909 Randolph Street Winfield/Crown Point 46307.  Visitation will be Tuesday from 2:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Funeral Home. Cremation will follow.
