Michael E. Vereb

Michael Ernest Vereb, 34 of Valparaiso departed this life on April 4, 2026, just days before his 35th birthday. Michael was born on April 6, 1991, to Michael C. Vereb and Rosie Vereb. He lived a life full of personality and energy, known by all as someone who was goofy, fun-loving, and truly one of a kind—a real character who could always make others smile. Michael had a deep passion for cars and motorcycles, and he enjoyed spending time walking, skateboarding, camping, and being around animals. Music was a big part of his life, and he loved it loud, embracing every beat with enthusiasm. Above all, Michael loved his family deeply. He was a devoted husband and a proud, loving father who cherished every moment with his wife and children. His love for them was unwavering and at the center of everything he did.

Michael is survived by his loving parents, Michael C. Vereb and Rosie Vereb; his beloved wife; Jorie Nicole Vereb, his children; Mason Joseph Terwilliger, Maxwell Jason Vereb, Luna Rose Vereb and Elliot Michael Vereb; sister, Amanda (Mike) Nasiatka; niece, Madilyn Kozuszek nephew, Paxton Nasiatka and many family members and friends who will miss him dearly.

Michael is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Douglas L. and Catherine D. Hines, uncle, James Hines; and paternal grandparents, Ernest and Lorrine Vereb.

Though his time here was far too short, Michael’s spirit, laughter, and love will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

A visitation will be held on Friday, April 17, 2026, from 5:00-7:00 pm at Rees Funeral Home, 600 West Old Ridge Road, Hobart, Indiana where family and friends are invited to come together to honor and celebrate Michael’s life.
