Age 57, passed away Sunday, February 16, 2014 at VNA Hospice in Valparaiso. She was born on December 15, 1956 in Davenport, Iowa to the late, William and Vivian (nee Ehrecke) Purcell. She worked as a cafeteria aid at John Wood Elementary in Merrillville. She enjoyed spending her time with her grandson and relaxing in the pool. Michelle was a devoted wife, a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.
She is survived by her husband; Mark Mays of Hobart; son, Michael (Adair Coventry) Mays of Hobart; daughter, Megan Mays of Hobart; grandson, Alexander Mays; two brothers, Timothy (Leslie) Purcell of Texas, Terry (Mindy) Purcell of Illinois; two sisters, Mary Beth (John) Keener of Illinois, Trish (Bob) Seymour of Ohio; numerous nieces, nephews and other loving family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; father-in-law, Layne Mays and mother-in-law, Betty Mays.
In lieu of flowers donations to the Horton VNA Hospice in Valparaiso would be preferred.
