Mildred M. (nee Hall) Clarida, age 95, of Portage, passed away Sunday, September 3, 2017. She was born on February 14, 1922 in Orient, Illinois to the late John and Effie Hall. In her free time, she enjoyed gardening and crocheting. She will always be remembered as a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Mildred is survived by her daughters, Sandra (Ralph) Springman, Shirley (Terry) Burch; grandchildren, Ron Springman, Melissa (David) Adams, Mike (Annette) Burch; great grandchildren, Lyssa Springman, Jeremy Springman, Rebecca Burch, Brianna Burch, Brittany Adams, Casey Adams, Cameron Adams; and one great grandchild, Zyler Colvin. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ira Clarida; infant son, Ronald Clarida; brothers, Bob, Ezra, and Elton Hall; sisters, Violet Lee, Mila Vantreas, and Laura Hall. Memorial contributions in Mildred's name may be made to the VNA Hospice Foundation, 2401 Valley Drive, Valparaiso, IN 46383. Mildred was laid to rest at Calvary Cemetery in a private ceremony.
