Mildred L. McKay, age 90, of Portage, Indiana passed away Tuesday, September 28, 2021.  Mildred was born June 21,1931 in Gary, Indiana to the late Anton and Helen (nee Rusnov) LeKar. She was devoted to caring for her family, she enjoyed playing bingo, shopping, and singing with the Bonner Center Choraleer's. She will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, and friend. Mildred is survived by her son, Robert (Nancy) McKay Jr.; daughter, Debra Lori McKay; two grandchildren, Lisa (Lynn) Elms and Rob (Mary) McKay; two great grandchildren, R.J., and Gianna; niece, Annette (Joe) Allegretti, her dear friend, Bob Campbell and many other loving family members and friends. Mildred was preceded in death by her loving husband Robert W. McKaySr., her parents, Anton and Helen LeKar and nine siblings. Per Mildred wishes there will be no services.
