Murray A Faris II, age 78, of Demotte, passed away Thursday, April 30, 2020.  He was born in Hammond, Indiana on August 1, 1941, to Murray A Faris and Ruth (nee Howe) Faris.  He proudly served his country in the United States Army and was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Highland. Murray was a retired Engineer at Screw Conveyor in Hammond and a past Boy Scout leader Troup 531 in Griffith. He enjoyed playing piano, singing in the church choir where he was very active, and he and his wife would sing at weddings.

Murray is survived by his son, Jonathon (Leesa) Faris; two daughters, Jennifer (Carey) Martinez and Janice (Richard) Fisher; five grandchildren and many other loving family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Karyll (nee Koselke) Faris and his parents.
