Myrtle Larson
Age 89, passed away Friday, February 10, 2012. She was a resident of Hobart for 25 years coming from Lombard Illinois. Myrtle (nee Drexler) married Vern Larson on April 10,1943 in Des Plaines and they spent 68 wonderful years together. She enjoyed cooking, traveling, fishing and boating. She will be remembered as a very loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Myrtle is survived by her daughter Karen Peterman of Hobart, son, Wayne (Nancy) Larson of Hobart, 3 grandchildren; Kerri (Jason Shellard) Zarate, Eric (Tina) Larson, and Wayne Larson, 3 great grandchildren; Jesse, Johnny and Silver many other loving family members and friends.
She is preceded in death by her husband Vern Larson, parents; Walter and Mable Drexler.
A funeral service for Myrtle will be Wednesday, February 15, 2012 at 2:00 pm at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel, 600 West Old Ridge Rd., Hobart, with Rev. Joan Mier officiating. Visitation will be just prior to the service from 1:00-2:00p.m. Cremation will follow the service.
