NANCY LEE HAMILTON (Ensign), age 56, of Hobart, passed away Monday, May 7, 2012, surrounded by her loving family. Nancy was a lifelong area resident and a graduate of Hobart High School, Class of 1973. She was employed for the School City of Hobart for many years, and was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary 5365. Nancy was a member of the Trinity Free Methodist Church, and found great comfort in her Christian faith. Nancy was a strong woman who always put her family first and did what she had to do to survive. She will be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother and will be missed dearly.
Nancy is survived by her 3 sons, Christopher Ensign of WI, Joshua Ensign, and Jacob Ensign both of Hobart; 1 daughter, Jennifer Ensign; 5 grandchildren, Matthew, Jayden, Mason, Anabella, and Willow; mother, Shirley E. Price of Hobart; father, Cecil W. Hamilton, Jr. of FL; 3 brothers, Cecil William Hamilton of CA, Ronald Hamilton of KY; and James Hamilton of Hobart; 2 sisters, Linda Tolliver and Susan Soria both of Hobart; 4 step-sisters, Lynn Heller of Hobart, Kim (Mike) Berg of Valparaiso, Jill Gravatt of AL and Shirlee (Bill) Boyd of MN; other loving family and dear friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations are preferred to Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
A funeral service for Nancy will be Wednesday, May 9, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel, 600 W. Old Ridge Rd., Hobart with Rev. Roger Wills officiating.
