Nancy Beth Harty (nee Noak), age 72 of Valparaiso, entered into the presence of her Lord on Friday, April 7, 2023. She was born on June 24, 1950 in Gary, Indiana to the late Ewald and Martha Noak. On June 17, 1978 she married the love of her life, Royal Harty at Trinity Memorial Lutheran Church, where she was still currently a dedicated member. She was involved with the Sunday School for over 30 years by teaching & serving as Superintendent. She had a genuine love for teaching children about the Lord. She lived by her favorite bible verse, "Train up a child in the way he should go & when he is old he will not depart from it." Proverbs 22:6. She worked at Calumet Adjustment Bureau which she owned and operated for 50 years. Above all, she loved her family and will always be remembered for her giving nature & her willingness to help anyone in need at the drop of a hat.

She is survived by her loving & devoted husband, Royal Harty who is eternally grateful for Nancy's love & support during his health issues over the past 16 years; son, Justin (Dina) Harty; daughter, Lindsay (Peter) Harty-Chudoba; beloved grandchildren, Natalie and Kathryn Harty; sisters, Janet Pennock and Delayne Malayter; many other loving nieces & nephews, friends & "adopted kids" who lovingly referred to her as "Saint Nancy".

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in Nancy's name may be made to her beloved church, Trinity Memorial Lutheran Church, 7950 Marshall Street, Merrillville, IN 46410.

Visitation for Nancy will be held Wednesday, April 12, 2023 from 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel, 600 West Old Ridge Road, Hobart. A funeral service will take place Thursday, April 13, 2023 at 10:00 am at Trinity Memorial Lutheran Church, 7950 Marshall Street Merrillville, IN with additional visitation at the church from 9:00 am until the time of service.
