NANCY A. KEATON, age 71, of Lake Station, passed away Monday, October 8, 2012. Nancy had been a longtime Lake Station resident for most of her adult life. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Nancy enjoyed rummage sales and shopping at Antique Stores.
Nancy is survived by 3 daughters, Tammy Poe of Valparaiso, Brenda (Rev. Fred) Noe of Westville and Terrie (Bill) Handley of Portage, 7 grandchildren: Jesse & Jennifer Poe; Tiffany Cummings; Travis Martin; Zack, Trent & Brianna Handley; 7 great grandchildren; brother, Charles Sheid of Hobart and sister, Wanda (Mitchell) Law of Lake Station and nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lamont Keaton and sister, Linda Martin.
Visitation will be held Friday, October 12, 2012 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at Rees Funeral Home, 600 W. Old Ridge Rd., Hobart. Refreshments shall be served for everyone. Funeral services will begin at 1:00 pm with Rev. Fred Noe officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Portage.
