Nathan G. Gagliardi, age 80, of Portage, IN and formerly of Miller, IN and Chicago, IL, passed away on Tuesday, January 11, 2022.

Nathan was born on January 22, 1941 in Chicago, IL to the late Dominic and Edythe (nee Harden) Gagliardi.  He was a graduate of De La Salle High School, Class of 1958.  Nathan was an Electrician for 45 years and worked for Sweeney Electric.  He was a proud member of the Electrician's Union Local 697.  Nathan was a collector of model trains.  He was also a member of the Apple Computer Club.

Nathan married the love of his life, Carolee, June 25, 1962 and spent 32 years together until her death in 1995.  He loved his wife and family and spending time with all of his grandchildren and great grandchildren.  Nathan was a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather uncle, and friend who will be deeply missed by all.

Nathan is survived by his sons: Glenn (Kimberly) Gagliardi, Douglas Gagliardi, and Kenneth Gagliardi; grandchildren: Seth (April) Gagliardi, Brittany Gagliardi, and Bridget Gagliardi; 11 great-grandchildren; siblings: Josephine Harden, Robert (Joyce) Gagliardi, and Vickie Ward; and many nieces and nephews.

Nathan is preceded in death by his wife, Carolee; parents: Dominic and Edythe, and siblings: Eddie, Richard, Tony, and Gloria Jean.

At Nathan's request, a celebration of his life will be scheduled at a later date.  Cremation and arrangements are entrusted to Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel.  Nathan will be laid to rest next to his wife at Mt. Greenwood Cemetery in Chicago, IL.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are preferred to the Independent Cat Society (4061 S County Line Rd, Westville, IN 46391).
