Nathan T.J. Rubalcava, age 39, of Georgia formerly of Portage, passed away Monday, February 15, 2021.  He was born on September 12, 1981 in Valparaiso, IN. He married his wife, Jennifer Hueston on October 18, 2012, in Merrillville, Indiana. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy and worked as an Assistant Vice President with Sampo International Insurance. He was a past member of the American Legion, loved playing baseball, and a future counselor for young Latinos. However, Nate's most fulfilling accomplishment was his two daughters. Nate will be remembered as a loving husband, father, son, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin, and friend. He is survived by his wife, Jennifer Rubalcava; two daughters, Madison Ann and Lillian Eve Rubalcava; his parents, Oscar and Barbara Rubalcava; brother, Victor Rubalcava; sister, Rosemary Rubalcava; nieces and nephews, Tylor, Brianna, Vincent, Miguel, and Mya; Aunt and Uncle, Tencha and Jose Rubalcava and many other loving family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by grandparents, Genoveva and Francisco Rubalcava and Joe and Toni Hardin, and Godfather Frank Rubalcava.

Funeral service for Nathan will be held at 10 am Wednesday, February 24, 2021 at Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel 5341 Central Avenue Portage, Indiana 46368.  Burial at Calvary Cemetery.
