Ninnie Jeanette Nunley

Ninnie Nunley, age 71, of Hobart, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, February 17, 2022, at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born on January 14,1951 in Tulsa Oklahoma to the late Julian and Wanda (nee Manes) Nunley.  Ninnie dedicated her life to taking care and loving her family. She will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend.

Ninnie is survived by son, John Riley (Beth) Cooper; two daughters, April (Robert) Menear and Kellie Batalis; her significant other of 30 yrs. Robert Hughes; five grandsons, Kyle (Alexus) Cooper, Michael Menear, Andrew Batalis, James (Samantha) Menear, Nicholis Batalis; two granddaughters, Alex Kellie Batalis and Sydnee Rowell; great-grandchildren, Scarlett Menear and great-grandson, Leland Riley Cooper; and two little blessings on the way, brother-in-law, Jarrett R. Spence and many other loving family members and friends.

Ninnie is preceded in death by her infant son, James Burrus; her parents; brother, Daniel Nunley; sister Judy Lee Spence; and son-in-law, Peter Batalis, and grandson, Dustin McDaniel.

A funeral service for Ninnie will be held Monday, February 21, 2022, at 1p.m. at Rees Funeral Home, 600 West Old Ridge Road, Hobart, Indiana. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Portage.  visitation will be Monday, February 21,2022 from 11 am until time of service also at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart, Indiana.
