Nolan O. Knight, age 83 of Lake Station passed away Sunday, June 23, 2013. He was born on December 19, 1929 in Daniel Boone Kentucky to the late Oad and Laura Knight. He was a Lake Station resident since 1990 and was formerly of Portage. Nolan worked for Youngstown Steel retiring in 1978. He also worked for 5 years for Ellis Construction. Nolan enjoyed golfing, fishing, hunting, and tinkering with and fixing things.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Knight of Lake Station, IN; 5 children, Kathy (JC) Boyd of Lake Station, IN; Pamela (Peter) Magdos of TN; Darlene Ratliff of KY; Todd (Melody) Knight of Lake Station, IN; Brian (Angela) Knight of Portage, IN; grandchildren, Eric, Keri, Mary, Jason, Brandy, Ben, Lori, Wayne, David, Ashley, Nicole, Rachel, Delia, and many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, 2 sisters, Helen Pollard of Lake Village, Indiana and Anna Mae Reynolds of Ga.

Preceded in death by son, Russell Knight.

There will be a memorial service on Wednesday, June 26, 2013 at 11 a.m. at the New Hope Church of God, 712 North 450 West, Valparaiso, IN 46383.
