NORBERT M. MATTINGLY, age 79, of West Lafayette, formerly of Hobart, passed away Wednesday, June 8, 2011. Norbert was born October 6, 1931 in Clarion, Iowa to Mary and Norbert V. Mattingly. He was a supervisor at US Steel and retired after many years of service. He most enjoyed studying genealogy and proudly officiated at the weddings of his two twin granddaughters. He will be dearly missed.

He is survived by his 4 children, Gregory V. of Owensville, Karen K. (John) Santarossa of Carmel, Christine L. (Tim) Rearick of West Lafayette and Lisa L. (Robert) Young; 7 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; 1 brother, Lynn (Barbara) Mattingly of Crete; 3 sisters, Phyllis (Thomas) Coil of Griffith, Shirley (Fred) Urbanek of Hobart, Juanita (Ronald) Banks; brother-in-law, Jerry Henry of Hobart; other loving family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Lou; his parents; brother, Edward R. Mattingly; and sister, Diane Henry.
