ODIS D. HALL, age 82, of Lake Station, passed away Monday, June 27, 2011. Odis was born in Hopkins County, Kentucky on May 20, 1929 to the late Austin and Lillie Hall. On December 24, 1949 Odis married Ruby Prow. He then moved to Northwest Indiana in 1951 and worked for many years at LTV Steel. Odis was a member of the Steelworkers Local #1011 and the Laborer's Local #81. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather.

Odis is survived by his loving wife, Ruby; 5 children, Nancy Torres of Lake Station, Karen (Steve) Szewczyk of Wyoming, Cindy (Bill) Reed of Washington, Brenda Marrs of Francisville, IN and Steven (Shannon) Hall of Hobart; daughter-in-law, Clara Hall of Whiting; 17 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; brother, Glenn Johnson of Nebraska; other loving family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his son, Ronald and his brother, Edward.

A funeral service for Odis will be Friday, July 1, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at Rees Funeral Home, 600 W. Old Ridge Rd., Hobart with Loren and Janice Carter officiating.
