Olga "Yogi" R. Harris

Olga R. "Yogi" Harris (nee Laskus), age 78 a longtime resident of Valparaiso/South Haven passed away Friday, May 26, 2023.  She was born on May 15, 1945, in Germany to Casmir and Catherine Laskus. Yogi loved being a grandma and great grandma.  She was an avid reader and loved dot to dot.  She also enjoyed playing bags, planting flowers, playing dice and hanging out at her pool, most of all she loved going shopping and going out for dinner every Friday night with her daughter Suzy. She never turned anyone away that needed help.

She is survived by her children, Suzanne Ganske, Tina Harris, Joseph Harris, James (Jennifer) Harris, Jerri (Eric) Bliss, grandchildren, Ashley, Emma, Austin, Sierra, Jake, Olivia, Riley, Elizabeth, Jamie, James, Jordan and Natasha, great-grandchildren, Avah, Vincent, Madelyn, niece, Stacey, Nephew, Damon, and brother-in-law, James Johnston and many other loving family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer, siblings, Jane Johnston, Frank Laskus, and Joseph Laskus.

In lieu of flowers donations to Yogi's family would be appreciated.

A celebration of life will take place Sunday, June 11, 2023, from 2:00-6:00 p.m. at the Chesterton Moose Lodge 1623, 602 Broadway Ave., Chesterton, Indiana 46304.
