Olympia Huff, age 85, a longtime resident of Gary, Merrillville, and Portage, passed away on Wednesday, September 7, 2011. She was born on June 7, 1926 the daughter of John and Maria Vlad.Olympia was married in 1951 to John F. Huff who preceded her in death on January 26, 1997. Olympia worked as a window clerk for the United States Post Office in Glen Park retiring after 34 years of service. Olympia was an active member of the Central Baptist Church in Hobart and was involved with serving her Lord in many different ways.

Olympia is survived by the Gerald Carr Families, the Donald Carr Families, the Lowell Carr Families, the Robert Carr Families, Michael and Nancy Davidson,Lorraine Vlad and family along with many other loving friends who were blessed by her life. Olympia was preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband John Huff, and her loving sister Sylvia Vlad, and brother John Vlad.

A visitation for Olympia Huff will be held from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm on Sunday, September 11, 2011 at Rees Funeral Home – Hobart Chapel, 600 West Old Ridge Road, Hobart. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 am on Monday, September 12, 2011 at Rees Funeral Home. Burial will be at Calumet Park Cemetery in Merrillville.
