OPAL L. COLEMAN, age 98, of Lake Station, passed away Tuesday, March 20, 2012 at Hobart Mercy Hospital. She was born November 6, 1913 in Peach Orchard, Arkansas.

She is survived by her 1 son, Ralph Coleman of Lake Station; 3 daughters, Barbara (Charles) Carson of Paris, TN, Shirley (Richard) Haywood of Lake Station, Betty (Jerry) Purcell of Harriman, TN; 13 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren, 25 great great grandchildren; 1 brother, Marva Shoe.

Opal was preceded in death by her husband, Lehman. Coleman; parents, Benjamin and Esta Shoe; 2 brothers, Walter and Bill Shoe; 7, sisters, Ruby Russell, Jewel Flanner, Stella Flannery, Nellie Frazier, Alice Murry, Charlene Bounds & Virginia Wynn; granddaughter, Lisa Smith.

A visitation for Opal will be Thursday, March 22, 2012 at Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel, 5341 Central Ave., Portage from 3:00 – 7:00 p.m. A funeral service for Opal will be Friday, March 23, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel.
