Opal Flick, age 94 of Wheatfield, formerly of Hobart, Indiana, passed away, Thursday, August 09, 2012. Opal was born on July 27, 1918 the daughter of John and Pearl (nee Owen) Mills in French Lick, Indiana. She married Russell Flick in Paoli, Indiana on November 15, 1933. Opal was a member of South Haven Christian Church in Valparaiso, and a 20 yr. member of the St. Mary's medical centers Ladies Auxiliary. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, sister, and friend.
She is survived by her son; James Wesley (Sharon) Flick of Wheatfield, numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren, daughter-in-laws; Shirley and Marilyn Flick and other loving family members and friends.
She is preceded in death by husband; Russell Flick, sons; Robert Flick, Russell Wayne Flick, daughter; Delores Reed, parents; John and Pearl Mills, brothers; Cecil Mills, Calvin Mills and Kenneth Mills, sisters; Irene Parks, Pauline Allen, Ester Crews Myrtle Taber, son-in-law Joseph Reed and sister-in-law; Abigail Mills.

A funeral service for Opal will be held Monday, August 13, 2012 at 11:00 am with Pastor Chad Allen officiating at Rees Funeral Home, 600 West Old Ridge Road, Hobart, Indiana 46342. Burial at Graceland Cemetery, Valparaiso. A visitation will be held Sunday, August 12, 2012 from 2 -6 pm also at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart, Indiana.
