Pamela A. Boswell, age 68, of Hobart, passed away peacefully on August 9, 2026. She was born on February 10, 1958, in Valparaiso, Indiana, to Donald and Twyla (née Lute) Boswell.

Pamela was a proud alumna of Purdue University, where she earned her degree in Electrical Engineering. She went on to build a successful career at Bethlehem Steel, dedicating more than a decade of her expertise to the company as an electrical engineer. Pamela was intelligent, hardworking, and took great pride in her career.

Beyond her professional life, Pamela found great joy in the simple pleasures of everyday life. She was an avid gardener whose flowers bloomed beautifully under her tender care. Her love of the outdoors was matched by her passion for reading and solving Sudoku puzzles, activities that reflected her thoughtful, curious, and analytical nature.

Pamela was also deeply committed to her community. For more than five years, she volunteered at the Portage Township Food Pantry, generously giving her time to help those in need. Her kindness, compassion, and willingness to serve others left a lasting impression on everyone she encountered. Her dedication to helping others was a true reflection of her generous spirit.

Pamela was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Eugene Winquist ; and her sisters, Sharon Clark and Debbie Oresik.

She is survived by her parents, Donald and Twyla Boswell; her sisters, Nancy Boswell and Paula (Lai) Salmonson; her brother, Greg (Kelly Weldon) Boswell; three stepdaughters, Jennifer (Rob Swanson) Winquist, Amy (Ben) Terhune, and Lori Morlock; six step grandchildren, Max, Moya, Ashley, Alex, Tyler and Kobe; nieces, Dawn, Melissa, Jeslyn, and Jozie; and nephews, Mark (Heather) Jr., Mathew, and Jeremy; and her aunt, Donna Nelson.

Pamela will be remembered for her warmth, intelligence , kindness, and unwavering love for her family and community. Her presence was a gift to those fortunate enough to know her, and her memory will be cherished for years to come. As we mourn the loss of such a remarkable woman, we also celebrate the extraordinary life she lived- a life filled with love, laughter, service and countless beautiful moments.

Pamela's family kindly requests that donations in memory be made to the Portage Food Pantry, 3590 Willowcreek Road, Portage, Indiana 46368.
