Patricia Ann "Pat" (nee Warsing) Bish, age 82, of Hobart, passed away Thursday, May 26, 2016. She was born on November 14, 1933 in Altoona, PA to the late Carl and Sylvia Warsing. Pat attended a music college in Chicago where she was trained as a concert pianist. She was a dedicated member of the First Baptist Church of Hobart, which is now New Life Community Church, where she played the piano, the organ, sang in the choir, and taught Sunday school there for several years. Pat worked as a teacher for Hobart Baptist School in many areas; she was a music teacher, teacher's aide for Kindergarten, and a preschool K-3 teacher from 1994-2010. She utilized her musical talent by playing the piano for all the school programs because she loved working with the children. She was occasionally invited to play the organ at Notre Dame but was able to play the pipe organ at Valparaiso University on a few occasions. She also enjoyed crafts, cooking and sewing. Pat served as the director of Sparks Awana Club and the Women's Missionary Society.
She is survived by her sons, Lawrence Bish, Mark Bish; daughters, Connie (Randy ) Erickson, Margaret Rose Tarchala; grandchildren, Chris (Melissa) Erickson, Ben (Amanda) Erickson, David Bish, Kevin (Kristy) Bish, Jennifer Bish, Stephanie Bish, Tiffany Bish, Kyle Tarchala; 11 great grandchildren; brothers, Carl (Judy) Warsing, Lloyd (Birdie) Warsing.
Pat was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Sylvia Warsing; beloved husband, Ronald Bish; son, Steve Bish. Memorial contributions in Pat's name may be made to the American Heart Association.
A funeral service for Pat will take place Thursday, June 2, 2016 at 10:00 am at New Life Community Church of Hobart, 1 N. Pennsylvania St., Hobart, IN 46342 with Rev. Dan Gute officiating. She will be laid to rest at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens in Schererville. Visitation for Pat will be held Wednesday, June 1, 2016 from 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel, 600 West Old Ridge Rd, Hobart, IN 46342.
