PATRICIA M. CHELF (nee Devine), age 80, of Portage, passed away Wednesday, October 17, 2012. She was raised in Chesterton and resided in Portage for over 60 years. Pat worked for many years as a regional manager for Carson Pirie Scott Restaurants. She then went back to school and earned an Associates Degree in Fashion Design, and went on to open her own business.
Patricia is survived by her 4 sons, Brian (Judith) Chelf of Carpentersville, IL, Robert Chelf of Portage, James (Deb Deardurff) of Valparaiso, Daniel (Melinda) Chelf of Sarasota, FL; 1 daughter, Patricia "Trish" (John) Mikaitis of Portage; son-in-law, John Siroky of Portage; 10 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; brother, Walter (Judith) Devine of Myrtle Beach, SC; sister, Alice Fleming of LaPorte and sister-in-law, Delores Chelf of Portage.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Orville; daughter, Michelle Siroky; and parents, James and Mable Devine; brother and sister, James and Victoria Devine.
