Patricia A. Curiel, age 74, of Portage, Indiana passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 14, 2022. Patricia was born July 12, 1948, in East Chicago, Indiana to the late Joseph and Stella (Kaczmierski) Miller. Patricia was a care provider for children and adults with special needs.  She was a long-time member of Nativity of Our Savior Parish. She also was a former long-serving board member of the Portage Youth Basketball League.

She is survived by seven children, Alex (Katie) Curiel of Chesterton, Eric (Tui) Curiel of Woodbridge, Virginia, Jeff (Kate Kester) Curiel of Zionsville, Chris Curiel of Indianapolis, Greg Curiel of Indianapolis, Kathy (Dalton Schultz) Curiel of Portage, and JoAnn (Paul) Klawitter of Frankfort, Illinois; twelve grandchildren, Alexander, Caleb, Madison, Margaret, Eric Jr., Carol, Patrick, Rob, Victor, Alyssa, Matthew, and Nicholas; a brother, Ron (Liz) Miller of Frankfort, Illinois; a sister, Ann Miller of Mokena, Illinois; and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Alexander, and her parents.

Friends are invited to meet with the family from 2-8 pm on Tuesday, July 19, 2022, at Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel, 5341 Central Avenue Portage, Indiana 46368. Additional visitation will be held one hour prior to a celebration of the Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday, July 20, 2022, at 1 pm, at Nativity of Our Savior Catholic Church, 2949 Willowcreek Road Portage, IN 46368. Rev. Kevin McCarthy will officiate. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Portage, Indiana.
