Patricia G. Ford, age 71, a lifelong resident of Portage passed away on Saturday, May 28, 2011. She was born on February 19, 1940 in Gary, Indiana, the daughter of Michael and Fay Corbett. Patricia was married to Thomas Ford on July 30, 1959 in Portage. Patricia was a wonderful homemaker and worked many years as a teacher's aide. She enjoyed both crossword puzzles and jigsaw puzzles. Patricia was an avid traveler and loved to vacation with her family. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and a dear friend to all.

Patricia is survived by her loving family; husband Thomas Ford, Portage, sons Thomas (Gina) Ford, Jr., Valparaiso, Gregory (Kim) Ford, Portage, Steven (Lisa) Ford, Portage, and Christopher Ford, Portage, grandchildren, Thomas, Kelly, Alexa, Kayla, Gregory, Steven, Lauren, Christopher, Elizabeth, and Crystel, great-grandchildren, Dayton, Ashlee, and Cameron, sister Shirley Karageorge, Portage, brother Michael (Gerry) Corbett, Liberty Township, and other loving family and dear friends. Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, by her brother Jay Corbett, and her brother-in-law Emanuel Karageorge.

A visitation for Patricia Ford will be held from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Thursday, June 2, 2011 at Rees Funeral Home – Olson Chapel, 5341 Central Avenue, Portage. A funeral service will be held at 9:00 am on Friday, June 3, 2011 at Rees Funeral Home with Pastor Josh Brown, officiating. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery in Portage.
