Patricia Carol Pecher

Patricia Carol Pecher (Rabe), age 77, of Portage, passed away Monday, May 25, 2026. She was born on February 26, 1949, in Chicago, Illinois, to the late Edward and Margaret Rabe. On April 16, 1966, she married Robert Pecher in Chicago, Illinois.

Pat dedicated her life to caring for her family and made it a priority to be involved in all of her children’s activities. She served as a den mother and coached softball for many years. Pat loved animals and especially cherished the vacations and time spent traveling with her beloved husband. She will be remembered for her devotion to her family, her caring heart, and the love she shared with those around her.

She is survived by her children, Bryan Pecher, Kim Donnelly, Bruce Pecher, and Melanie (Charles) Ballard; 11 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; sister, Margaret (James) Brogan; her beloved Shih Tzu, Boo; and many loving nieces, nephews, family members, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert Pecher; grandson, Christian Robert Ballard; and siblings, William Rabe, Edward Rabe, Robert Rabe, and Delores Renich.

A celebration of Pat and Bob’s lives will take place Sunday, July 12, 2026, from 1:00 pm until 4:00 pm at the American Legion Post 502, 429 County Road 750 North Valparaiso. Burial of cremains will take place at Calvary Cemetery. Cremation was entrusted to Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel, 5341 Central Ave., Portage. For more information, please call (219) 762-3013.
