Patrick F. Hynes, age 73, a resident of Crown Point passed away, Thursday, October 8, 2015 at home. Patrick was born on November 29, 1941 in Chicago, Illinois the son of the late Thomas and Bridget (nee Nestor) Hynes. He worked as an Ironworker for Chicago Local #1 and Boilermakers #374. He was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Crown Point. He was a member of American Legion Post #20 and the Moose Lodge. Patrick enjoyed model trains, fishing, boating and antique cars; he was an avid Notre Dame, Cubs and Bears fan. Patrick will be remembered as a loving, husband, brother, uncle, brother-in-law and friend.
He is survived by his loving wife, Judy J. (nee Pykosz) of Crown Point; brother, Thomas (Faith) Hynes of Winfield, Indiana; brother in law, Rich (Jill) Pykosz of Munster, Indiana, several nieces and nephews and many other loving family members and friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, October 12, 2015 directly at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 7667 East 109th Ave. Crown Point, Indiana 46307, at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Thomas E. Mischler, officiating. Private family burial at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday, October 12, 2015 from 10:00-11:00 a.m. also at Holy Spirit Catholic Church.
