Paul F. Bowdish

Paul F. Bowdish, age 84, of Portage, passed away Monday, September 3, 2018.  He was born in Chicago, Illinois on July 30, 1934 to the late Joseph and Victoria (nee Klemick) Bowdish.  He served in the Untied States Army and then later in the United States Navy in Korea. Paul was an officer at the Elks Lodge in Ft. Pierce, Florida.

Paul is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Joyce (nee Moore) Bowdish; sons, Steve (Mary Beth), Paul (Karen), Scott (Lisa); grandchildren, Lisa, Katie (Billy), Tyler, Allison (Josh), Lexi, Paul, Jr.; great grandchildren, Zackery and Carly, with one on the way; and brother, Jim (Ida) Bowdish.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Wayne and Melvin Bowdish.

A funeral service for Paul will be held at 3:00 pm on Friday, September 7, 2018 with Pastor Bob Burton officiating at Rees Funeral Home, 600 W. Old Ridge Rd. Hobart, IN 46342.  Visitation will take place just prior to the service on Friday from 2-3 pm.
