Paul J. Cogley

Paul J. Cogley, age 69, of Hobart passed away Friday May 20, 2016 at his home. Paul was born August 7, 1946 in Gary, Indiana to the late Paul H. and Anna (Plukas) Cogley. Paul was an electrician that retired from Acelor-Mittal Steel with 42½ years of service. Paul loved his annual fishing trips to Canada, his trips to the casino boats and spending time with his grandchildren and great granddaughter. He was a Veteran of the US Marine Corps that proudly served during the Vietnam War.

Paul is survived by his loving daughter Christine (David) Gill of Valparaiso; two grandchildren Payton Summers of Lake Station and Drake Nance of Valparaiso; his great granddaughter Raelynn Wood; his wife Michelle Cogley of Hobart; four step daughters; two sisters Ruthann (Ron) Wilkins of Portage and Paula (Cork) Manoski of Merrillville; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother John C. Cogley.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 am Wednesday May 25, 2016 at Rees Funeral Home, 600 West Old Ridge Road, Hobart, Indiana 46342 with Rev. Andrew J. Corona officiating. Burial will follow in Calumet Park Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 2-8 pm at the Funeral Home.
