PAUL "POCHO" CORRALEZ, SR. age 73, of Portage, passed away Wednesday, June 19, 2013 at St. Mary Medical Center in Hobart. Paul had been a Portage resident for 6 years and was a former longtime Miller resident. He was retired from US Steel in Gary with 34 years of service and member of USWA Union Local #1014.
He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Patricia Corralez, 3 children, Debra (Tony) Edwards of Santa Ana, CA, Christine (Ricky) Tellez of Lake Station and Paul Corralez, Jr. of Portage, 9 grandchildren: Kristy (Greg) Varella, Ricardo Tellez, Julian Tellez, Angelo Corralez, Lawrence Tellez, Jasmine Corralez, Lorenzo Corralez, Anthony Corralez, Elijah Edwards and Cieara Tellez, 3 great grandchildren, 2 brothers, David (Marge) Corralez of Hobart and James (Marilou) Corralez of Merrillville, sister, Irene Pineda of Miller, numerous nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Dominique Edwards, sister, Connie Gutierrez and parents, Frank & Jennie Corralez.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 25, 2013 at 11:00 am at Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel, 5341 Central Avenue, Portage, with Rev. David W. Kime officiating.
