Paul Edward House Pittsburg, IL Age 83, passed away on Sunday, July 27, 2014 in West Frankfort, Illinois. He was born on November 12, 1930 in Oxly, MO to the late Frank and Nannie (nee Bridgeforth) House. On October 20, 1947 Paul married the love of his life Ann Arvesta (nee Fantz) House; who preceded him in death on July 21, 2014. Paul will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend. Paul enjoyed the outdoors, spending time with his horses and loved playing the fiddle. He will be missed by all.
He is survived by son; Paul G. "Butch" (Amy LeJeune) House of Hebron, daughter; Brenda Sobel-Garlich of Pittsburg, IL., He is survived by 6 sisters, Ina Soberri, Anna Mae Miller, Henrietta Irvine, Bonnie Ethridge, Mary Ann Green, Linda House, 2 brothers, Frank House, Walter House, six grandchildren and nine great- grandchildren.
Paul was also preceded in death by 2 brothers, Roy Jack House and Jacob House.
In lieu of flowers donations to the American Cancer Society or St. Jude-Children's Research Hospital would be appreciated.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, July 31, 2014 at Blue Funeral Home in Marion, IL from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
A local funeral service will be held Saturday, August 2, 2014 at 12:00 pm at Rees Funeral Home, 600 West Old Ridge Road, Hobart, IN 46342 with Pastor Bob Burton officiating. Paul will be laid to rest at Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery in Hobart. Visitation will take place on Saturday August 2, 2014 from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel, 600 West Old Ridge Road, Hobart, Indiana.
