Paul W. Klimek Sr.age 84, passed away Sunday December 26,2010 at home, surrounded by his loving family. Paul graduated from Tolleston High School in Gary, IN. He proudly served his country in the United States Marines Corp, he was honorably discharged in 1951. He was a member of Local 81, Gary Slag and retired from Industrial Steel. Paul married his sweet heart of (45 years) the late Marjorie Klimek in Crown Point, Indiana on June 29,1957. Paul enjoyed poker, fishing, camping, family reunions and bowling at Ray's Lanes. He was a member of the Glen Park Eagles. A special thanks from the family to Dr. Barajas and Staff, Dr. Stepanobic and Staff, Adair Home Health and to Hospice of Calumet.Paul is survived by his loving family; Dave (Chris) Niloff of Hebron, Rick (Judy) Harty of Valparaiso, Cindy (Len) Dooley of Hobart, Paul (Nodie) Klimek Jr. of Lake Station, George (Dawn) Klimek of Portage, Rob (Kim) Klimek of Lake Station, 12 Grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.Paul is preceded in death by his wife Marjorie Klimek, parents; George Klimek and Kateriny (nee Bachorik) Klimek , 2 brothers; Steve and George Klimek, 1 Step brother Steve Barr, sisters; Katherine, Elizabeth and Anna Klimek.
Funeral Service for Paul will be held 11:00 am Friday, December 31, 2010 at REES FUNERAL HOME, Hobart Chapel, 600 West Old Ridge Road, Hobart, Indiana. Visitation will be Thursday December 30,2010 from 2:00-8:00 p.m. also at Rees Funeral Home.
