PAUL HEPNER, SR, age 80, of Hobart, passed away Tuesday, December 7, 2010. Paul was a lifetime area resident and a member of Local 150 Operating Engineers. He served in the Army during WWII and Korean War and was a lifetime member of the VFW Post 5365. Paul enjoyed restoring antique cars and going to car shows. He also enjoyed bowling and golfing. He will be missed by all who knew him.
Paul is survived by his loving wife of over 59 years, Patricia; 3 sons, Paul (Vickie) Hepner, Jr. of South Haven, Perry and Patrick Hepner, both of Hobart; 5 daughters, Pam Morrison of Hobart, Peggy (George) Wulitich of San Pierre, Paulette (Clayton) Greenwell of Portage, Penny (Todd) Hepner of Portage and Paula (Wayne) Spalding of Lake Station; 16 grandchildren; 33 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild; 1 sister, Velma "Honey" (Frank) Callahan of PA; sister-in-law, Patricia (Hepner) Greenwell of Booneville; other loving family and friends.
Paul was preceded in death by his parents, William and Margaret; brother, Nathan; sisters, Donna Keel and Dorcas Schnick.
A funeral service for Paul will be Saturday, December 11, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. with Deacon Andrew Joseph at Rees Funeral Home, 600 W. Old Ridge Rd., Hobart. Burial will follow at Heritage Cemetery.
