Pauline Elaine Drapac

Age 84, of Hobart passed away Tuesday, December 10, 2013 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Pauline was born on December 12, 1928 in Poland Mines, Pennsylvania to the late Joseph and Augustine Uskert. On April 29, 1950 Pauline married the love of her life, Stephen George Drapac in Gary, Indiana. Pauline was a very active member of Saint Francis Xavier where she volunteered in the church and at the school. She was a past, Vice President, Treasurer and Secretary for the PTO. Pauline will be remembered as a devoted wife, loving mother and grandmother.
She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Stephen of Hobart; three sons, Thomas (Lynn) Drapac of Roanoke, VA, Mark Drapac of Northfield, MN and James (Julie) Drapac of Hobart, IN; four daughters, Pamela Drapac of Hobart, IN, Christine (Terrence) Zgorka of Munster, IN, Cynthia (Daniel Hirsch) Drapac of Clarendon Hills, IL and Stephanie Drapac of Westmont, IL; 14 grandchildren ; sister, Mary Roth of Portage, IN, many other loving family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and six siblings, Augustine Dropp, Joseph Uskert, Ann Nemcock, Emery Uskert, John Uskert and Kathryn Nicholson.

A Mass of Christian Burial will begin Saturday, December 14, 2013 with 9:30 am prayers at Rees Funeral Home- Olson Chapel 5341 Central Ave. Portage, IN and then proceed to Saint Francis Xavier 2447 Putnam St. Lake Station, IN with Rev. David W. Kime officiating at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-8 pm Friday, December 13, 2013 at Rees Funeral Home- Olson Chapel.
