Pauline W. McWhirter, age 95, of Hobart, passed away July, 24 2015. She was born on May, 5, 1920 in Illinois to the late George and Minnie (nee Matthews) Schoenemann. She will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Pauline enjoyed spending time outdoors, fishing and gardening.
Pauline is survived by her six sons; James (Lavada) McWhirter of Lake Station, Jack (Carolyn) McWhirter of Portage, Bill(Pam) McWhirter of Alabama, Ron(Lori) McWhirter of Portage, Russell(Karen)McWhirter of Texas, Randy McWhirter of Hobart; Daughters: Barbara McMurray of North Carolina, Betty(William) Hill , Jr. of Hobart, numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her beloved husband Walter; sons, Richard, Walter, Robert, Roger; three brothers; Vernon, Arthur, Daniel; two sisters, Annie Reid, Georgetta Williamson and her parents.
A funeral service for Pauline will be held on Tuesday, July 28, 2015 from 10:00 am. at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel, 600 West Old Ridge Road, Hobart, IN, 46342. She will be laid to rest at Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be held Monday, July 27, 2015 at 2:00-8:00 pm also at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel.
