PENNY L. STEELE, age 49, of Hobart, passed away Tuesday, January 29, 2013 at St. Mary Medical Center in Hobart. Penny had been a Hobart resident for the past 3 years and was a former longtime Winamac, Indiana resident. She was employed as a waitress and cashier. Penny was a loving mother, daughter and sister.
She is survived by her mother, Wilma Steele of Hobart, 2 sons, Dewayne Steele of Star City, IN and Rusty Steele of Winamac, IN, sister, Sheila (Troy) Brownfield of Hobart and brother, James E. "Bubby" (Anita) Steele of Calumet Township, nieces, Amanda & Abby, nephew, J.R. She was preceded in death by her father, James P. "Jim" Steele.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 6, 2013 at 12:00 noon at Rees Funeral Home, 600 W. Old Ridge Rd., Hobart, with Pastor Richard Brown officiating.
