Peter Psomadelis, age 83, of Lake Station, passed away Monday, January 23, 2017. He was born on May 21, 1933 in Mytilene, Greece. He retired from US Steel. Pete was a dedicated member of SS Constantine & Helen Greek Orthodox Cathedral. He will always be remembered as a loving husband, father and grandfather.

Pete is survived by his son, Paul (Lonna) Psomadelis; daughter, Kathleen Psomadelis; grandchildren, Peter, Stefen and Sydney Psomadelis; nieces, Faith, Sevasti, and Denise Alahozous.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Kalitina Psomadelis.

A funeral service for Pete will take place Friday, January 27, 2017 at 10:00 am directly at SS Constantine & Helen Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 8000 Madison Street, Merrillville, IN with Rev. George Pappas officiating. He will be laid to rest at Ridgelawn Cemetery in Gary. Visitation for Pete will be held Thursday, January 26, 2017 from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Rees Funeral Home, Brady Chapel, 3781 Central Ave, Lake Station.
