PHILIP W. WOLFE, age 67, of Lake Station, passed away on Thursday, June 4, 2026, holding the hand of his wife, while listening to a recording of his granddaughter singing. He was born in Gary on October 19, 1958, to the late Robert and Dorothy Wolfe. He married the love of his life, Brenda Wyant on November 3, 1979. Phil was a loving girl dad and a doting grandpa. He cherished the time he spent with his family. Phil enjoyed Sponge Bob Squarepants, which he could watch for hours on end, and collecting die cast motorcycles, which would arrive at the house regularly. He was also a devoted member of the Portage Grace Church of the Nazarene, where he found great comfort in his friendship with his best friend, Pastor Mark Hostetler. Phil will be remembered as a loving family man, devoted husband, dad, grandpa, and friend.

Phil is survived by his wife of over 46 years, Brenda; daughters, Becky Rivera and Jill Wolfe; 8 grandchildren, Libby, Caydin, John, Philip, David, Caroline, Derek and Ezra; sister-in-law, Gwen (Dan) Steele; brother-in-law, Bill Wyant; other loving family and friends.

He was also preceded in death by his sister, Carolyn Wolfe.

There will be a memorial visitation for Phil on Thursday, June 11, 2026 from 5:00 p.m. until the time of the Memorial Service at 6 p.m. at Portage Grace Church of the Nazarene, 5360 Clem Rd., Portage, IN, with Rev. Mark Hostetler officiating. Cremation entrusted to Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel.
