Phyllis K. Cochran, age 79, of Valparaiso passed away Saturday, November 11, 2017 at St. Mary Medical Center surrounded by her loving family.  She was born June 15, 1938 in Chicago, Illinois to the late Phillip and Mildred (nee Anderson) Sharrar. Phyllis was the owner and president of Artistic Cleaners in Lake Station, Indiana.  She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend.

Phyllis is survived by her husband, Morris W. Cochran; sons, Phillip (Julia Nasser) Woods and Morris Cochran Jr.; daughter, Kathryn Woods Justine (Gary) Bratincevich; three grandchildren, Alex, Spencer Engel and Connor Woods and other loving family members and friends.

Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents.

A funeral service for Phyllis will be held Saturday, November 18, 2017 at 1:00 pm at Rees Funeral Home 600 W. Old Ridge Road Hobart, Indiana 46342. Entombment will be held on Saturday, November 25, 2017 at 11:30 am at Calumet Park Cemetery, 2305 W. 73 ^rd Avenue, Merrillville Indiana 46410. Visitation for Phyllis will be held Saturday, November 18, 2017 from 11:00 am until time of service also at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel. 219-942-2109
