Rachel Morris

Rachel Morris, age 92, of Crown Point, Indiana passed away Wednesday December 8, 2021, at the Symphony of Crown Point. Rachel was born March 7, 1929, in Whiting, Indiana to the late Luis and Domitila (Torres) Gomez. She was a homemaker, loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great-great grandmother, and wife. She will be deeply missed by her loving family. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy.

Rachel is survived by six daughters, Lyda (Tony) Olund, Ivy Gillespie, Denise Onate, Sheila Canamar, Bunne Morris, and Heather Morris; thirteen grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; and several other family members and dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William Morris; one son, Charles Canamar; and one daughter, Maria Michelle Canamar.

Memorial visitation will be Saturday, December 18, 2021, from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon at Rees Funeral Home, Winfield Chapel 10909 Randolph Road Crown Point, Indiana 46307. A Memorial service will follow immediately at 12:00 Noon.
