Ralph E. "Gene" Carder, age 68 of DeMotte, Indiana passed away Thursday, July 28, 2011.
He is survived by his mother, Lela Carder, 6 children, Torrie (Greg) Borden, Kyle Root, Bret (Beni) Root, Ronda Sims, Becky Payne, Richard Carder, 1 sister, Barbara (Skeeter) Hart, 6 grandchildren, Amanda, Teddy, Catena, Cassandra, Mariah, and Tiffine, 1 niece, Alicia, 1 nephew, Brandon, and special friends, Pat, and Rosie.
He was preceded in death by his father, Ralph Jesse Carder, and his wife, Lynn E. Carder.
Funeral services are Monday, August 1, 2011 at 1 p.m. at Rees Funeral Home, Winfield Chapel, 10909 Randolph St., Crown Point with Rev. Elwood Adams officiating. Burial will follow at Chapel Lawn Cemetery, Schererville. Visitation is Monday just prior to the service from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Rees Funeral Home, Winfield Chapel.
