Ralph Maupin

Ralph Maupin, age 78, of Portage passed away Wednesday, December 9, 2015 at Franciscan, St. Mary's Health in Dyer. On January 7, 1937 Ralph was born to the late Curtis and Alta (nee Chandler) Maupin in Dyersburg, Tennessee. He will be remembered as a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle and friend.
Ralph was survived by his two sons, Michael Maupin of Portage and Robert (Denise) Maupin of Lake Station; two daughters, Linda Caudill of Portage and Kathy Welch of Alabama; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; three brothers, Larry (Sue) Maupin, Marvin (Brenda) Maupin, and Gary (Vickie) Maupin; sister, Nadine (Homer) Ables .
He was preceded in death by his wife, Reathel (nee Allums) Maupin; his parents, Curtis and Alta Maupin; two brothers, Lindell Maupin and Ronnie Maupin and sister, Juanita Shau.
In lieu of flowers donations to the American Diabetes Foundation, 55 east Monroe, Suite 3420, Chicago, Illinois, 60603 would be appreciated.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 12, 2015 at 7 pm at Rees Funeral Home, 3781 Central Ave. Lake Station, Indiana 46405, with Pastor Marvin Maupin officaiting. Cremation will follow.
