Ramόn Verduzco, age 76, of Gary, Indiana passed away Tuesday, April 6, 2021. He was born on March 26, 1945 in Ario de Rayon, Michoacan, Mexico to the late Salvador Verduzco and Loreto Gomez. Ramόn retired from Inland Steel where he worked as a laborer. Ramόn loved horses and enjoyed spending time outdoors. He loved to garden. He had a great appreciation for music, especially singing. Above all, he was a family man and he cherished the time he spent with his children and grandchildren.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 52 years, Ana Verduzco; daughters, Alejandra (Paul) Morales, Julisa (Angel) Camacho, Ana Verduzco, Bernadette (Paulo) Sanchez, Evelina Verduzco; son, Ramόn Emilio Verduzco; grandchildren, Valentin, Cristiana, Gabriella, Ivana, Juliette, Isabella, Elysia, Andres, Cristian, Adrian, Edgar, Vicente, Ivan, Claudia and Mario Alejandro; great grandchildren, Giano, Gaia, Santino and one on the way; sisters, Ana Verduzco, Soledad (Luis) Guerra, Maria Segura, Rosalia (Ricardo) Mosqueda; brothers, Vicente (Amparo) Verduzco, Jose Verduzco, Salvador Verduzco; and many other loving family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Salvador Verduzco and Loreto Gomez; daughter, Maria Cristina Verduzco; and nine siblings.

Visitation for Ramόn will be held Friday, April 9, 2021 from 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel, 600 West Old Ridge Road, Hobart. Mass of Christian Burial will take place Monday, April 12, 2021 at 11:00 am at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 2447 Putnam Street Lake Station with prayers starting at the funeral home at 10:15 am.  He will be laid to rest at Calumet Park Cemetery.  For more information, please call (219) 942-2109.
