Ray E. Baugh, age 78, of Hobart passed away Saturday September 20, 2025, in his home. Ray was born December 30, 1946, in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania to the late Grover and Grace (Potts) Baugh. Ray retired with thirty-two years of service as a meter reader for NIPSCO. He enjoyed watching football on TV especially Penn State and the Pittsburgh Steelers. He was a active high school athlete, lettering in both Pole Vaulting and Wrestling. He graduated in the Portage High School class of 1965. Ray was a US Army veteran serving during the Vietnam Era.

Ray is survived by his brother, David (Pamela) Baugh of Valparaiso; two sisters, Gale Pio of Francesville, and Ruth Knip of Schoolcraft, MI; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents Grover and Grace; and a sister Janine DeYoung.

Funeral services will be held at 11:30 am Saturday September 27, 2025, at Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel 5341 Central Ave. Portage, Indiana 46368. Visitation will be Saturday from 9:30 to 11:30 at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Graceland Cemetery, Valparaiso, Indiana.
