Ray W. "Daddy Bud" Wiggins, age 82, of Hobart passed away Sunday November 12, 2017.  Ray was born January 10, 1935 in Smithland, Kentucky to the late Raymond and Ida (Davenport) Wiggins.  He was a steelworker that retired from US Steel.  "Daddy Bud" was a super papa and always made video tapes of programs for people to share.

Ray is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Shirley; seven children, Donald (Vicki) Wiggins of Portage, Julie (Paul) Mayfield of Portage, Cyndi (James) Reason of Champlin, MN, Kimm (Gabriel) Vargas of Lake Station, Laurie (David) Robbins of Hobart, Lisa (Michael) Ackermann of Valparaiso and Pamela "PJ" (George) Wiggins-Rhodes of St. Petersburg, FL; his step-mother, Ollie Wiggins of Knox; one sister, Phyllis (Don) Griffith; Fourteen grandchildren and ten great grandchildren; two step-sisters, Bonnie (Bill) Archer of Portage and Diane (Larry) Roberts of Houston, TX; three step-brothers, Tom (Toni) Kimmey of Knox, Ed (Marilyn) Kimmey of Valparaiso and Mike (Carol) Kimmey of Houston, TX; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister Charlotte Wiggins.

Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 am Thursday November 16, 2017 at Rees Funeral Home 600 W. Old Ridge Road Hobart, Indiana with Pastor Michael Bean officiating.  Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery.  Visitation will be Wednesday from 2-8 pm at the Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations are preferred to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
