Ray Martin, age 84, of Hobart, passed away Thursday, August 18, 2022, at home. He was born on June 22, 1938, in Gary, Indiana to the late Dolph and Susan Martin. He retired from Republic Steel, where he worked as a roto test operator. Ray enjoyed watching sports, he was an avid Bears and Cubs fan and loved spending time with his family.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 58 years, Josephine L. Martin who passed away on November 30, 2020, his parents and brother Bob Sandford.

He is survived by his son, Steven (Thierry Roger) Martin-Roger; daughters, Linda Callahan and Susan Martin; grandson, Joseph Martin; brother, Larry (Bobbie) Martin; Ray's best friend, Wayne (Jenny) Dee, who introduced Josephine to Ray.
